ORAL HISTORY TRAINING
Lorna’s passion for oral history means she is keen to pass on her skills and experience to others. She has trained community and museum volunteers and interested individuals.
She provides a basic introduction to oral history, and life stories in particular, illustrated with sound extracts. This can followed by followed by a practical session of equipment selection and handling, questions and interviewing techniques. To complete the session, copyright clearance, future use of the recordings, storage and problem-solving tips are covered.
